Internet Marketing Competition

Internet marketing is becoming a necessity for all businesses. It is also very difficult and challenging to choose the right advertising media provider. There are many online advertising agencies that promise to deliver, but some how the results are never quite right.

The online advertising scape has become a very confusing arena of service providers. Along with the good, bad and ugly the service providers are all subject to what is known as arbitrage or click fraud.

There are many different methods of determining the fair rate for internet marketing fees. There is cost per impression, cost per click, cost per lead, cost per sale, % of sale, commission and time frame rental of ad space for example renting ad space on a specific page for a period of time, be it a day, week or month. All are subject to some time of manipulation except where a sale must be made before any fee is provided for the advertising services.

Ultimately, the final stage in the internet marketing evolution will be commissions that result from a sale. This stage of online advertising is the only way to guarantee the advertiser receives what they paid for.

The biggest problem that advertisers will encounter in the near future is being able to afford advertising through keyword bidding. As the demand for online advertising sky-rockets, businesses will be forced to pay for expensive keywords or go without online advertising.

With search engine marketing firms providing optimization services, it will become a demanded service and expensive. This will leave smaller businesses with lower advertising budgets scrambling to enter the internet marketing arena.

As internet marketing trends grow through the S-curve more competition will enter the market place and provide relief for businesses and their internet marketing needs.
