Nah, there is no easy way out. That's why there is such a thing as the Eye of the Tiger!!

It's the thrill of the fight. If you are not completely and utterly devoted to being on TOP 10 you won't because only those that really have the eye on the that prize deserve to be on TOP 10 and when they get there they can work with all the people visiting their website.

If your website has just text content and has no other method of generating revenue other than the value of the SERP position on the keyword then you might be missing some of the prize.

If you are going to move yourself to the top 10 serp results for Google, Yahoo or MSN, you better have a good goal and plan once you get there. Otherwise the victory will be short lived.

Once you reach TOP 10 in the SEO or SEM race, you will need to make sure that you can handle the traffic that comes with it. You will need to know what to do, what not to do and how you can benefit the most from such a victory.

Its like climbing mount Everest and forgetting to bring your victory flag pole to commemerate the victory, it will just be something you will remember. So I recommend a good action plan and everyone can have a different objective or goal and reward for reaching the top.

Your plan of action must involve something much bigger than just launching a web page and some content. The content must be relevant and updated regularly and you have to create the environment where people will visit your site because it was TOP 10, they will book mark it and come back often to see new information or updates and learn more from what you are offering.

So, there is also another way to get a large amount of traffic. Using reciprocal links and back links. This is the easier way out. Many people have made huge success without even being found on search engines, but because they were linked to a website or page that did feed traffic into their closed loop that trickle of traffic eventually brought enough traffic to get the ball rolling. There are many ways to do this, once you have your website setup to have a reason for netizens return to your site.

If they trickle in, just like any other method of entry, you need to capture their attention, make an impression on them, provide them some liquid content and establish a reason for them to return. Repeat traffic is eventually repeat income. The American Dream!!
